Fr. Philip F. Spano
Director of Religious Education:
Mrs. Catherine “Kitty” Vice, has been Director of Religious Education
since 1993. She is married to William “Bill” Vice, and is also on the
religion faculty at Ascension Catholic High School. In
addition to the Parish Religious Education Program for grades 1-12,
she is also responsible for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and
Confirmation sacramental preparation programs.

Mrs. Doris Fabre Milano is Church secretary. An alumna of St.
Vincent Institute (Ascension Catholic), she is wife of Frank Milano
III. She has been employed by the church parish since her retirement
as office manager, Ascension Parish School Board, in 1989. Mrs. Dana
Melancon Schexnayder, Church secretary, is also an alumna of Ascension Catholic High School and is wife
of Kevin Schexnayder. She has been employed by the church parish
since 2002.
Cemetery Supervisor/Church Facilities
Custodian: Mr. Anthony
Marcello, an alumnus of Ascension Catholic High School (Class of
’75) has been employed by the Church parish since 1996. He is the son
of Mike and Della Marcello of Donaldsonville. In addition to his
responsibilities for the maintenance and upkeep of all Church-owned
facilities and grounds, he is responsible for the operation,
maintenance, and upkeep of the Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church
Cemetery and Mausoleum, one of largest and most historic Catholic
burial facilities in the Diocese of Baton Rouge.
